How much does a custom fishing boat cost? 2026 prices

Hawala 450 hull from PLN 13,000 net (≈ €2,950). What a ready-to-fish package with outboard, sonar, Minn Kota and trailer costs: 3 scenarios, real ranges.

Two swivel fishing seats and two fish finders on the deck of a Hawala 450

A 4.5 m fishing boat built to order costs from PLN 13,000 net (PLN 15,990 incl. VAT, ≈ €3,650) for the bare Hawala 450 hull in standard trim. A ready-to-fish package with outboard, fish finder and trailer comes to roughly PLN 24,000–71,000 incl. VAT (≈ €5,450–16,150), depending on whether you fit a small 5 hp and one sonar or a 20 hp, a Minn Kota with i-Pilot and two screens. Below we break that figure down so you know what you are paying for, where you can trim and where you should not.

All euro figures use an indicative rate of PLN 4.39 to €1 (November 2026) and are rounded. Prices are quoted in PLN because that is what you pay.

What the hull alone costs

Hawala 450 in standard trim: PLN 13,000 net, PLN 15,990 incl. 23 % Polish VAT (≈ €2,950 / €3,650). That buys a finished, CE-certified boat (design category C/D, 4/5 people) with six lockers and deck hardware. Full list below. No engine, electronics or trailer.

For comparison, other Polish GRP fishing boats of 4.1–4.5 m list at roughly PLN 12,800 (Semper 410), PLN 14,200 (KA-Boats 450) and PLN 16,900 (Semper 440 XT) in the manufacturers’ November 2026 price lists, i.e. about €3,000–4,000.

So the Hawala hull sits mid-range, not at the bottom. You pay for the double-shell construction and six lockers, not just a shell.

Three typical packages: what you really end up paying

Equipment prices are retail offers from Polish shops and manufacturer price lists, November 2026, rounded. Your quote depends on the exact models and how much we install, which is why we give ranges rather than one number.

What is priced separately

Eight items we quote for the way you fish:

  1. Outboard motor: petrol or electric, up to the boat’s rated power.
  2. Fish finder and transducers: Garmin, Lowrance, Humminbird; mounts, transducers, wiring.
  3. Bow-mount trolling motor: Minn Kota or similar, bow mount, wireless control. The quick-release plate is already laminated into the bow.
  4. Electrical system: switch panel, fuses, sockets, switches, deck wiring.
  5. LED lighting: deck, lockers, navigation lights.
  6. Bilge pump: automatic.
  7. Fishing seats: swivel, cushioned, pedestal-mounted.
  8. Boat trailer: matched to the hull, ready to tow behind a car.

What drives the price

  • Engine power and brand. The single biggest item after the hull. Parsun 15 hp to Honda is about PLN 3,000; 6 hp to 20 hp can be PLN 10,000.
  • Electronics. One 4” sonar is PLN 700; two 7” GPS units with mounts are PLN 5,000–8,000.
  • Trolling motor. PowerDrive vs Terrova with i-Pilot is about PLN 3,500 apart; the GPS anchor alone changes how you troll.
  • Trailer. Needed unless the boat lives at a jetty.
  • Scope of fitting. Whether you buy the kit yourself and bring it, or we select and install everything.

Where not to save

Wiring. Cheap wiring on screw terminals is the most common cause of trouble on the water: a dead sonar mid-season, corrosion, in the worst case a fire. A fused switch panel, correctly sized cable, soldered and sealed joints. A few hundred zloty of difference that shows after three seasons.

The transducer and how it is fitted. A PLN 3,000 sonar with a crooked transducer shows less than a PLN 700 Striker fitted properly. A transom transducer must sit below the hull line, clear of turbulence from the drains; the bow motor needs its own transducer at the bow. That is build-stage work, not a garage job after delivery.

Where you can save painlessly: seats (upgrade next year), the second screen, the brand of petrol outboard at low power.

Used or new to order

A used 4–4.5 m GRP fishing boat in Polish classifieds runs from about PLN 4,000–5,000 (≈ €950–1,180) for a bare hull to PLN 13,000–35,000 (≈ €3,050–8,250) for a package with engine and trailer. That is genuinely less than new.

When used makes sense: tight budget, you fish a few times a year, you know GRP and can judge a hull. When it does not: you have no way to check waterlogged foam, laminated-over repairs or a tired transom. A transom carrying 15–20 hp on a 15-year-old boat is a lottery. A used boat also comes with someone else’s locker layout, someone else’s mount holes and wiring nobody can vouch for.

New to order means a fresh hull, a CE certificate issued for your boat, a deck laid out for the way you fish and a manufacturer’s warranty. The price gap against a good used boat with kit is often PLN 10,000–15,000 (≈ €2,350–3,550), less than replacing the electronics and engine on an old one.

Net, gross, VAT and payment

We quote net and gross because two groups buy from us: private anglers (the gross figure matters, PLN 15,990) and businesses such as guesthouses, guides and hire fleets (you reclaim 23 % Polish VAT, PLN 13,000 net is what counts). Equipment sourced through us is invoiced too, so the whole boat can go through the books. If you are buying from outside Poland, ask us how VAT and delivery are handled for your country.

Payment terms, deposit and any instalment options are agreed individually. Ask about payment options when you request a quote.

Questions we hear most

Is PLN 13,000 the final price? For the hull in standard trim, yes, net. To fish you need at least an engine; a realistic “minimum” package is about PLN 24,000–30,000 incl. VAT (≈ €5,450–6,850).

Can I bring my own engine and sonar? Yes. We fit customer-supplied kit and quote only the labour and wiring. If you buy through us, we match transducers and mounts to the hull.

How long is the wait? It depends on the season and configuration; we give a date with the quote. Details in How to order.
