How much does the Hawala 450 fishing boat cost?
The Hawala 450 in standard specification costs PLN 13,000 net, about €2,950 at an indicative exchange rate (PLN 15,990 including 23% Polish VAT). The price covers the complete double-shell hull with six storage lockers, grab rails, cleats, a bow roller and self-draining deck. The outboard, fish finder, trolling motor, electrics and seats are optional outfitting, quoted separately to suit how you fish.
What does CE design category C/D mean on the Hawala 450?
Category C/D means the Hawala 450 is designed for inshore and sheltered waters under EU Directive 2013/53/EU. Category C allows winds up to force 6 and significant wave heights up to 2 m; category D allows winds up to force 4 and waves up to 0.3 m (occasionally 0.5 m). The “4/5 people” rating is the maximum crew: 4 in category C conditions, 5 on sheltered category D waters. Every boat comes with a CE declaration of conformity and builder’s plate.
How long does it take to build a boat?
Lead time is agreed individually when you order, because every boat is built from scratch to your specification. It depends on the amount of outfitting and the current workshop queue; you get a firm date together with your quote. The earlier you order before the season, the more choice of dates you have.
What outfitting can I order with the boat?
We fit every boat with full outfitting on request: outboard motor, fish finder and transducers, bow-mount trolling motor, electrical system, lED lighting, bilge pump, fishing seats. Fish finders are Garmin, Lowrance or Humminbird; the bow-mount motor is Minn Kota or similar. If you have your own idea, such as rod holders, a table or an extra locker, we will quote it and fit it. The full list is on the Equipment page.
Can I buy the boat together with a trailer?
Yes, the Hawala 450 can be delivered on a matched boat trailer, ready to tow behind a car. The trailer is quoted together with the boat in one offer. If you already own a trailer, we will check that it fits the 4.50 m hull.
Which Hawala Boats models are available?
Two models: the Hawala 450 (4.50 m, available now) and the Hawala 410 (4.10 m, new, in preparation). The model number is the hull length in centimetres. The Hawala 450 is the flagship for bigger lakes, trolling, long sessions for 2–3 anglers; the Hawala 410 is a lighter boat for smaller lakes and rivers, fishing solo or as a pair.
How much will the Hawala 410 cost and when is it available?
The Hawala 410 price has not been announced yet; the first units are in preparation. It is a smaller (4.10 m), lighter model with the same double-shell construction as the Hawala 450. Call or message us if you want to reserve one of the first boats and you will be the first to hear the price and date.
Does a 4.5 m fishing boat have to be registered in Poland?
No, not if the engine is rated at 15 kW (about 20 hp) or less. Compulsory registration in Poland applies to yachts and recreational fishing boats longer than 7.5 m or with an engine over 15 kW (Act of 12 April 2018 on the registration of yachts and other craft up to 24 m). The Hawala 450 is 4.5 m long, so with a smaller engine it needs no registration; you can register it voluntarily in the REJA24 system, which helps with insurance and trips abroad. If you use the boat in another country, check the local rules: in Germany, for example, small motor boats need a registration mark above 2.21 kW.
Do I need a licence to drive a fishing boat with an outboard?
In Poland, no licence is needed for an engine up to 10 kW (about 13.6 hp). Above 10 kW you need a motorboat helmsman’s licence (patent sternika motorowodnego, Inland Navigation Act, art. 37a). A motor boat up to 75 kW and 13 m with a speed limited by design to 15 km/h is also licence-free. Rules differ abroad: in Germany a Sportbootführerschein is required above 15 hp (11.03 kW). When we size the engine for your boat, we will tell you plainly which side of the line you are on.
Do you deliver abroad? How do I buy a boat from Poland?
Yes. You can collect the boat from our workshop in Szyldak near Ostróda, Masurian Lake District, Poland, or, on request, we arrange transport on a trailer anywhere in Poland and to EU countries; transport is quoted individually to your address. The boat carries a CE declaration of conformity valid across the EU, so no further approval is needed. Prices are quoted net of VAT: a business with an EU VAT number can buy as an intra-community supply, a private buyer pays VAT as the law requires. We confirm the exact arrangement with your quote.
What warranty comes with a Hawala boat?
You are covered by the statutory warranty under Polish and EU consumer law, two years from collection for consumers, and the details of the builder’s guarantee on the hull and fitting are set out in your contract before you order. The outboard, fish finder and trolling motor carry their own manufacturers’ warranties, serviced by their authorised networks. You receive all terms in writing together with the quote.
Do you service and repair boats?
Yes, we service the boats we build: laminate repairs (cracks, scratches, damage from rocks or trailers), replacing or adding hardware, and fitting electronics and wiring at a later date. Call us or send a photo of the damage on WhatsApp and we will tell you what it needs and what it costs. Repairs to boats from other builders are quoted after we see the photos.
